Promoting exemplary design in Essex
Design Director Mike Jamieson has been appointed to the inaugural Essex Design Review Panel.
As one of the UK’s fastest growing regions, Essex is the 6th most populous county outside of London and home to 1.8m people. The panel is the latest initiative from the county to put design at the forefront of planning and place creation and follows the Essex Design Guide, the UK’s first Design Guidance of Residential Development which was launched in 1973 and updated in 2018.
With an ambition to help shape high-quality and sustainable places to live and work, the Essex Design Review Panel will meet twice monthly to review strategic, major or complex schemes.
A resident of Essex, Mike has been practicing over 20 years across a range of sectors including residential, commercial and healthcare, and will bring his extensive experience of working on several award-winning developments in Essex to the panel.
